North Carolina has one of the most active real estate markets in the Southeast, led by Charlotte and the Research Triangle and supported by strong coastal and mountain markets. This file lists every active North Carolina licensee in one spreadsheet, with name, license number, firm, office address, county, email and the phone numbers agents publish for clients. Every row starts from the North Carolina Real Estate Commission's own licensee list. North Carolina licenses brokers only, so the license status column is how you tell a provisional broker in their first years from a broker-in-charge who runs an office.

The North Carolina real estate agent market

Charlotte and the Research Triangle (Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill) hold most of the state's agents and much of its relocation and new-construction business. The Piedmont Triad around Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point is a large market in its own right, and Wilmington, the Outer Banks and Asheville add coastal, vacation and mountain specialties.

Because North Carolina licenses everyone as a broker, many agents carry a provisional status while completing post-licensing education. That makes the state attractive for coaches, education providers and recruiters, who can reach newer agents directly through the status column.

Firms range from large franchise and cloud brokerages to small independent offices, especially in smaller coastal and mountain towns.

The practical way to work North Carolina is region by region. Charlotte and the Triangle are large enough for their own campaigns, the Triad is a strong third market, and coastal and mountain agents often specialize in vacation, second-home and investment property. Provisional brokers respond well to offers of training, mentoring and leads, while brokers-in-charge care about tools that help them manage and keep agents.

Illustrative people and details. Every row in a real file is a licensed agent from the state record, with the same columns.

North Carolina realtors by county and metro

Every agent is assigned to a county from their office address. Mecklenburg and Wake hold the largest shares, followed by Guilford, Durham, Forsyth, Union, Johnston and New Hanover. Buncombe anchors the mountain market around Asheville.

Metro filters cover Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Greensboro and Wilmington in one click. The county and metro tables on this page show the breakdown before you buy.

If you serve only one region, filter the file rather than buying a smaller regional list. Counties such as Cabarrus, Iredell, Brunswick, Dare and Henderson have active agent communities around the main metros and along the coast and mountains.

All 100 counties are in the state file, with county and metro columns you can sort and filter on.

What's in the North Carolina realtor email list

Every North Carolina row follows the same layout as every other state, so files combine cleanly if you buy more than one. The North Carolina file covers brokers, including provisional brokers and brokers-in-charge, one row per licensed person.

  • Identity: full name, first and last name, license type and team name where the agent publishes one.
  • Contact: email with its type (personal or brokerage) and its source, cell phone and office phone where published, website and LinkedIn profile.
  • Office: brokerage, office address, city, ZIP, county with its FIPS code, and metro area.
  • License: license number, status, first licensed date and expiry where the Commission publishes them.
  • Profile: designations, specialties and languages where the agent lists them.
  • Provenance: the source each row came from and the date it was last verified.

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission makes its licensee list available as a regularly updated file, with license status, firm and address details. That record is the backbone of every row. Where the Commission's licensee list includes an email address the licensee has not marked private, that address is the starting point, and it is still verified. The gaps are filled from permitted brokerage and agent sites, verified brokerage email patterns and a licensed data vendor. A blank cell always means the detail is not published. We never fill a gap with a guess.

Independently verified, at our expense

We pay 2 independent, third-party email verification services to check every address before it goes into a file. Not a one-off scrub when the list was built: every edition, every row. Addresses that fail are removed, so you never pay for them. And if more than 2% of your emails still hard-bounce, we replace them.

Who buys the North Carolina realtor email list

The North Carolina file is built for companies that sell to real estate agents.

  • Mortgage lenders and loan officers use it to build referral relationships with agents in the counties they lend in, sorted by brokerage and license type.
  • Title, escrow and settlement companies reach the agents who choose where their buyers close.
  • Home services such as inspectors, stagers, photographers, movers, contractors and insurance agencies market to the agents who recommend them to clients.
  • Brokerage recruiters find agents at competing firms and agents who are new to the business.
  • Proptech and software companies run outbound campaigns to every agent in the state or a single metro.
  • Coaches and trainers reach agents early in their careers and the brokers who manage teams.

In North Carolina, lenders and builders target relocation-heavy suburbs around Charlotte and Raleigh, closing attorneys and title agencies work their counties, and coaches and recruiters use license status to reach provisional brokers.

A typical example: a Raleigh closing attorney filters the file to Wake, Durham and Johnston, keeps active brokers, and sends a short series about closing timelines and communication. A coach filters by provisional status statewide, and a brokerage recruiter filters by firm to reach agents at one competing company in Charlotte. Whatever you sell, short campaigns to a tightly filtered slice of the file almost always beat one large send to everyone.

Emailing and calling North Carolina agents legally

Buying a list is legal; how you use it is what the law regulates. For email, follow CAN-SPAM: use an honest sender name and subject line, include your physical postal address, give a working way to opt out and honor opt-outs within 10 business days. Business-to-business email to licensed professionals is allowed without prior consent under federal law, but your messages must still be relevant and honest.

For phones, the federal TCPA requires prior express written consent for autodialed or prerecorded marketing calls and texts to cell phones, so never put this file straight into an autodialer or a texting platform. Manual calls are safer, but scrub cell numbers against the National Do Not Call Registry first.

North Carolina has its own telephone solicitation law alongside the federal rules, including do-not-call obligations, so scrub cell numbers and keep calling practices within both sets of rules. Any licensee who asked the Commission to keep their email private is never sourced from that list, and we honor every removal request on the next edition.

Good list hygiene helps too: send from a domain you have warmed up, start with a small batch, remove hard bounces and unsubscribes straight away, and never re-add anyone who has asked to be left alone.

This is general information, not legal advice. Our compliance page covers the rules in more detail, and we suggest a quick review with your own counsel before a large campaign.

  • CAN-SPAM: real sender, honest subject line, a working opt-out and your postal address
  • TCPA: no autodialed calls or texts to cell numbers without consent
  • Scrub cell numbers against the National Do Not Call Registry before you call
  • Check North Carolina rules on commercial solicitation

This is general information, not legal advice. See the compliance page.

North Carolina realtor email list FAQ

How many real estate agents are in the North Carolina file?

The exact number of active North Carolina licensees in the file is shown at the top of this page and updated with every monthly edition. There is one row per licensed person, with duplicates removed using the license number, and inactive or expired licenses are left out so you only pay for agents who can do business today.

Is the North Carolina realtor email list free to try?

You can download a free 100-row North Carolina sample before you buy. It has every column of the full file, with emails, phones and surnames partly masked, so you can test it in your CRM first.

Does the file include brokers as well as salespersons?

North Carolina licenses brokers only, with no separate salesperson license, so every agent in the file is a broker. The license status column shows provisional brokers, who are still completing post-licensing education, and brokers-in-charge, who supervise an office.

Can I get monthly updates for the North Carolina file?

Yes. Add monthly updates at checkout for 10% of the purchase price per month. Each month's edition adds new licensees, updates changed details, removes agents who left the business and re-verifies every email. Cancel anytime.

Where does the North Carolina agent data come from?

Every row starts from the North Carolina Real Estate Commission's licensing record. Where the Commission's licensee list includes an email address the licensee has not marked private, that address is the starting point, and it is still verified. The gaps are filled from permitted brokerage and agent sites, verified brokerage email patterns and a licensed data vendor. We never copy data from listing portals such as Zillow or Realtor.com.

How many North Carolina agents have a cell phone number?

The share of North Carolina agents with a cell phone is shown in the fill rates on this page. Cell numbers come only from where agents publish them for clients or from a licensed vendor. Every number is labeled as mobile or landline, and you should scrub cell numbers against the National Do Not Call Registry before calling.

How often is the North Carolina realtor list updated?

We publish a new edition every month. A one-time purchase is the edition current when you buy; monthly updates keep your file current after that, with new licensees added and departed agents removed each month. Every email in each edition is checked again by independent verification services before it ships.

Can I email North Carolina realtors legally?

Yes, if you follow CAN-SPAM: honest sender and subject, your postal address and a working opt-out. Business email to licensed agents does not need prior consent, but automated calls and texts to cell phones do under the TCPA. Our compliance page explains the rules in plain English.

Will the file import into my CRM?

Yes. Every file comes as CSV and XLSX with one row per agent and clear column headers, so it imports into HubSpot, Salesforce, Follow Up Boss, Mailchimp and most other CRMs and email tools.

What happens if emails bounce?

Every email is checked before delivery, but no list is perfect. If more than 2% of the emails in your North Carolina file hard-bounce on your first send, send us the bounce report within 30 days and we replace them with fresh records.
